Drawing From Life - Workshop with Gillian Pederson-Krag
Saturday, April 30, and Saturday, May 7 10-4
This short course in observation drawing is designed for beginners as well as advanced painters. Learning a system of drawing from reality is fundamental to all kinds of other forms of self expression.
We will use still life arrangements and the head as subjects for exercises to learn proportion, foreshortening and form description. Bill White is going to offer an approach to perspective and how it functions in drawing from life.
The first meeting will be Sat, April 30 from 10:00 to 4:00 and the second meeting will be Saturday May 7th from 10;00 to 4:00. There will be some suggested work for people to do in between the 2 sessions. Participants will be asked to bring a small drawing board (about 14" by 16"). It can be made of any kind of stiff cardboard. All other materials for the class will be provided.

PAINTING
Open to all levels of experience and all mediums (oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor), this will be an ongoing class meeting each Tuesday.
Participants should bring something they are working on and there will be individual instruction throughout the day. You will have access to the studio on Tuesdays from 10-4pm.
Easels are available but bring your own paint and supplies.
